The End Times

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. - 1 John 2:18

In the parable of the fig tree, Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." For years, many Bible teachers have believed that Jesus was referring to the rebirth of the nation of Israel. Though the recent prediction of Harold Camping that the Judgment Day would come on May 21, 2011 warns us not to set dates.

If the above interpretation is correct, we may be close. I'm not prophesying or setting dates, but the time is getting closer. Jesus said:

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ [or I have a special anointing]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. - Luke 21:8

We should not let false prophecy discourage us from watching. With the following studies, I am trying to stress to our generation the urgency of understanding the end days.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. - 2 Peter 3:3-4

A Bible Study Examining the Pre-tribulation Rapture

May 21 2011, Judgment Day

A look at end time predictions. One way these false prophecies help me is that I see it as a warning for me to be careful. Like many other Christians, I have always felt that the Lord could come back in my lifetime. However, I shall be more careful in the future to make sure I say "He can come soon" and not, "He will come soon".
