Bible Studies

This website is a collection of Bible studies. Our mission is three fold: First, provide resources that assist people in understanding the Scripture. Second, As Jesus warned about false prophets and teachers, we examine false doctrines and caution believers. Finally, to provide tool so Christians can defend their faith till Jesus comes.

A Bible Study Examining Eternal Security

Once a church elder while discussing eternal security, quoted a backslidden pastor as saying: ''If I were in a bar drunk, with two floozies, one under each arm, I still know where I am going''. Do you concure? Or do you believe Paul's warning?

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, ... drunkenness, and such like: of the which I tell ... they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. - Galatians 5:19-21

A few years ago I was talking to a Baptist youth pastor who lamented that as soon as adolescents turn eighteen, they leave the church. Do these young people have eternal security? Or, does God expect them to persevere? This study will look at over 150 verses, including those used to teach eternal security. Lets see if Jesus taught that we must endure to the end to be saved.

A Bible Study Examining Predestination

This Bible study supplies the tools to reason with those who believe in John Calvin's version of predestination. Calvinism teaches that God unconditionally predestined every person’s eternal fate before the world began. The alternative to this is that men have free will or free moral agency. We can freely choose whether or not we will believe in Jesus.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16

23 Mistakes Not to Make While Studying Your Bible

Learn 23 common errors to avoid when studying the Bible. The Bible is our final authority, yet have you ever wondered how two Christians can see in a passage of Scripture two completely different interpretations? To hear a teacher misinterpret a passage of scripture and then see the congregation nod their head up and down is disheartening. Let's study to show ourselves approved.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15

Law and Grace

Many Christians are confused about the balance between law and grace. Do we need to accomplish a certain amount of works in order to be saved? Why did Jesus teach in Matthew 16:27 that He will judge us by our works? Does Mosaic Law still apply? What are the problems with dividing the moral law from the ceremonial law? This study will try to answer these questions.

King James Version vs. Modern Translations

This study looks at the different Bible versions comparing the Received Text to the Critical Text and how the critical text (used in most modern translations) was edited. Christians are entrusted by God with keeping the sacred Scriptures pure, yet many Christians are ignorant about the differences between Bible versions.

Our modern feminists trumpet a proper maxim:

The End Times

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. - Luke 21:36

Jesus commands us to watch; the question is what are we to watch for? What are we to escape from? The following is a list of Bible studies to help you prepare.

A Bible Study Examining the Pre-tribulation Rapture

We are entering a critical time in history. Jesus said:

Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with [...] cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. - Luke 21:34-35

If the pretribulation rapture is true, then many end time Scriptures do not apply to us. But if the Bible does not teach a pretribulation rapture, then many in the church will be completely unprepared to enter the most important time in modern history. In this study, we will look at the Scriptures used to teach a pretrib rapture. If there were no rapture, are you praying how you might be a light during the Great Tribulation?

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. - Revelation 11:3

Who are these Two Witnesses, and what is their ministry? Where are they mentioned in other passages of Scripture? Will we recognize them when they arrive?

On the Wings of an Eagle
