The studies that I have worked on over the years were to help Christians grow, not feel good. And, while some studies are controversial, I believe the Bible is my final authority and I have backed my positions with the scripture. Also, I do not pick controversial topics for the sake of being controversial, rather the positions we take on these doctrines have far reaching effects for those who are on the narrow path.
Many of our churches do not allow for growth. For instance, many pastors will never allow their doctrine to be questioned. If you have not allowed your doctrine to be questioned (if your pastor does not allow you to, you probably have not), how will you stand before the Lord and say that you have kept Paul’s admonition.

- The lack of scriptural support for a position, (if there is any).
- Pointing out misquoted verses used to support a doctrine, so be careful.
- The selective quoting of scripture.
