Go ye therefore, and teach all nations - Matthew 28:19a
Other Doctrines We Believe
Christian Unity
Today many Christians are willing to divide the church or condemn others for small offences. Dividing the church on every single issue does not glorify God. Rather, as we grow in Christ, these issues should be prayerfully considered. As we humble ourselves and study, we will come to God's understanding on all questions concerning doctrine and morality.
For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. - 1 Corinthians 1:11-15
When a woman was bought to Jesus, caught in the very act of adultery, He could have condemned her, but He didn't. Instead, He reached out and saved her, saying, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more" (John 8:3). We should only separate when a person will not repent from a sin that is specifically mentioned in the New Testament and 'sin no more.'
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
- Ephesians 5:11
The Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that the sanctity of human life is plainly taught in the Bible, and therefore we espouse a strong pro-life world view. Not only does abortion kill an innocent life, the long term effects of abortion on women are detrimental. We also believe that the woman is often a victim as well. Ignorance of what is happening inside of her, cultural indoctrination, boyfriend and family all pressure her to make a bad choice.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. - Jeremiah 1:5
AND
For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. - Luke 1:44
A Six Day Creation
The Old Testament teaches that God created the world in six days, about six thousand years ago. The Bible also teaches that there was a worldwide flood. Jesus said:
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? - John 3:12
AND
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? - John 5:46-47
King James Version
In the debate of textual criticism, we believe that the Received Text, from which we get King James Version, is God's inerrant word. We have a simple study that several problems with the modern translations.
- First, there are 3000 differences between the Received Text and Critical text. This study looks at many of the significant differences.
- Our study takes critical look at the making of the Critical Text using guidelines from one of the editors, thus explaining many of the differences.
- We also discuss the corporate ownership of modern translations and what this may mean someday to the church.
